Robert Benson, President

Robert is the Arts Director for the Peoria Unified School District. In 2011 he began his term as AAAE President.

Lynn Monson, Secretary/Treasurer

Lynn completed a Teacher Training Certificate Program at Hartford Ballet, and earned a BA in Dance at ASU. She has taught dance to all ages, studied Labanotation at the Dance Notation Bureau and is a certified Labanotation teacher. She managed an arts-based charter school where she developed integrated curriculum, trained staff, wrote grants, and directed school accountability, as well as teaching dance classes. Currently, Lynn performs administrative duties for arts organizations.

Lynn helped write the Performance Objectives for the Arizona Dance Standards in 1997. In 2005-06, she worked on the writing team to revise the Arizona Dance Standards, and is currently working on developing state assessments for dance. Lynn is a member of the Dance Notation Bureau, International Council of Kinetography Laban, National Dance Education Organization, and served on the board of the Arizona Dance Arts Alliance. She was instrumental in the formation of the Arizona Dance Education Organization, currently Past-President.
